Russian card transfer

How to transfer funds from a Russian (CIS) bank card to a US bank card and vice versa

The fastest, most favorable rate and reliable way is to transfer via cryptocurrency, which presupposes the presence of a valid CIS bank card of your country (for example, Tinkov, Raiffeisen or Alfa) in your name, access to the app or website of the bank to transfer rubles from this card, as well as a valid American bank card in your name.

The pilot guide describes the process on Apple devices, but the same scheme can be applied to Android devices by changing region in Play Market using a VPN. Alternatively, you can use a computer and the Binance website, also using a VPN, or even your phone and browser.

It is recommended to open this instruction on a second phone (for example, your spouse) or computer for easy transition from one step to another, without the need to constantly switch.

1. In your Apple ID, change your region to Russia and download the Binance app.

2. After that, change your Apple ID region back to the US.

3. Download the free VPN app from the App Store.

4. In the VPN launch window, click on the "Fastest location" button above the enable button and select (2 times) any server in Germany. Close the open ads and turn on the VPN.

5. Launch the Binance app and create an account. For the US phone number, select United States Minor Outlying Islands from the list and enter your number without a unit in front. If you can't get an SMS, try adding a one at the beginning or +1.

6. Before you can transfer funds, you must pass all verification steps due to strict security on exchanges: confirm your email, pass phone verification by SMS and upload your passport verification documents (domestic or foreign passport). To upload the documents, select "Web site" > "Application" on the website.

7. When you have successfully passed all the verification stages (passport verification can take from several hours to several days), the "Verified" checkbox will light up in your profile. From that moment you will be able to make transfers. Don't forget to enable VPN to access the app, as the US version requires your SSN number.

8. On the main screen of the app, tap "P2P Trading." A currency buying and selling window will open. To send money to your card in the US, you need to first buy the cryptocurrency - USDT.

9. In the top right, select the RUB currency and make sure USDT currency is selected under "Buy". In the center, in the "Payment method" filter, select the bank card from which you want to transfer RUB. After that, the list of available sellers and their exchange rate will appear.

10. Select a suitable seller and offer. Pay attention to the number of transactions of the seller (Trades), which should be at least 20-30, and the status of "Completion" should be 90% or higher. Different sellers may have different minimum transaction amounts, which are listed just below the rate in the "Limit" line. Select the appropriate limit for the transfer and click "Buy" to open the transaction window.

11. Be careful and read the transaction rules carefully, which are indicated in the opened window. Sometimes it may be necessary to make a payment via SBP to a card of another bank, for example, if a transfer to a Tinkov card is selected, but the rules specify the use of SBP to a Raiffeisen card, or a transfer to a relative's card may be requested. The "By Fiat" field is for specifying the amount of money you want to transfer. After that, click the "Buy USDT" button.

12. In the window that opens, in the upper right side, open the chat box and check if there is any additional information regarding the payment. If there is no information, click the "Make Payment" button. The window that opens will show the amount you have chosen to transfer, as well as the merchant's details. Copy the card or phone number for the transfer. According to the rules of the transaction described earlier, transfer the money to the seller's card and click "Transferred", then notify the seller.

13. Within 2-20 minutes after the seller confirms the transfer, USDT will be automatically credited to your Binance account. If this does not happen, you have the opportunity to write to the seller in chat or click the "Report" button if there are any problems (usually even if there are some problems, everything goes smoothly).

14. Once the transaction is complete, go back to the P2P Trading screen and change the currency from RUB to USD in the upper right corner. Then, instead of the "Buy" button, select "Sell" in the upper left corner. Make sure you see USDT next to "Sell". In the "Payment method" section below USDT, select the method of transfer to your US card. I usually prefer to use Zelle (via phone number or email) or a transfer directly to a bank account such as Bank of America. You can also choose two methods at once, such as Zelle + BofA.

15. Choose the right buyer and their offer. Pay attention to the number of transactions of the buyer (Trades), which should be at least 20-30, as well as the percentage of successfully completed transactions (Completion), which should be 90% or higher. Different buyers have different minimum transaction amounts, which are indicated slightly below the rate, in the "Limit" line. Select the appropriate limit for the transfer and click the "Sell" button, which will open the transaction window. At this point or a little earlier/later, the system may ask for details to receive payment via Zelle or bank account.

16. In the transaction window, scroll down and click on "Terms" to read the terms and conditions. In the "By Crypto" field, select "All" and then click "Sell USDT".

17. Open the chat to check if there is any additional information available. The buyer should transfer the money to your card within 10 minutes and up to 2 hours on average. Sometimes the buyer may be Mexican, so having a translator in the app on your phone won't hurt. If the buyer has any questions, they will write them in the chat, so check back regularly. Don't share insecure information such as a card number with numbers on the back. Take care of your security, but sometimes, rarely, major exchange companies may ask you to send a picture of your card in chat, with your card in hand (without expiration date and CVC code), this is fine.

18. When the buyer tells you the money has been transferred, be sure to verify that it has arrived in your bank account by looking at SMS notifications or notifications in your bank app. If the bank doesn't open, turn off your VPN. Once you're sure the money is in your account, tap the "I received the money" button in the transaction window and confirm that the transfer is correct. After that, you can close the app and turn off the VPN.

The scheme of sending money from your US card to a CIS card works exactly the same way. The actions are quite similar, only in reverse order. You need to select USD currency (top right) > purchase USDT through Zelle > select RUB currency > sell USDT for rubles to Tinkov or another bank.
